YouTube “Cosmic Panda” is the latest Google experiment, which promises to offer an entirely new videos, playlists, channels experience.
YouTube is one of the most visited website for watching and sharing videos. According to the stats of Google, the website registers 3 billion hits a day and users uploads around 8 years of video everyday. Google recently revamped its YouTube Movies section through which users can view more than 3000 full-featured movies online. YouTube Movies is already having a dedicated section for India Movies. Indian movie buffs have more reasons to be happy, YouTube has introduced a channel, titled “YouTube Box Office” dedicated to latest Hindi blockbuster movies in HD quality. YRF will be a partner of this exclusive channel and with Intel’s sponsorship will feature premium Hindi movie every month absolutely free for viewing.
The movie featured at YouTube Box Office now is “Band Baaja Baaraat,” a romantic comedy starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. The movie can be watched in up to 1080p HD resolution. Google has relaunched YouTube’s movie rental service, and gave it the much-needed shot for its revival. Google kicked off the relaunch of the online movie rental service which will allow you to watch movies online with more than 3,000 full-length movies from major Hollywood studios on Monday. Some of the films are free to watch, and others can be rented for a very small fee.
Since, YouTube claims of over 2 billion views per day, it only makes sense that they expand what they have to offer. Recently Google unleashed their live streaming service, and additionally YouTube Next.
YouTube originally launched this movie rental service in early 2010 after negotiations with major studios in 2009 didn’t get very far. The first launch included several independent films that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. Later in the year, YouTube quietly added about 500 films to the service, still largely independent fare, but including a handful of well-known movies like Reservoir Dogs, Precious, Pi, and The Cove. Google Docs now lets you upload any kind of files, though not many of them can be previewed in Google Docs. You can open Microsoft Office, StarOffice, OpenOffice documents, spreadsheets and presentations, PDF files and some images, Windows Metafile (.wmf) and, upload, share and play videos.
After uploading a video to Google Docs, you’ll have to wait until it’s processed. Then just click on the processed video file present in your Documents List, and the video opens in a new page that includes a video player (YouTube video player). You will need to have Flash installed for the video player to work. On the page that opens, you can also find more information about the video file, including the owner, whether the file is shared or not, and when the file was uploaded.
