If you notice Internet Explorer issues like cannot IE cannot open any website, or browsing through IE is consistently slower than normal even when Internet connection is good, or a recent malware infection has messed up your Internet Explorer settings.

Does IE often stops responding, or stops working? Do you receive error messages that show that Internet Explorer has “encountered a problem and needs to close“? Or that a Visual C++ “runtime error” has occurred in Iexplore.exe? It’s time to reset your Internet Explorer to its default settings.

Living in an Internet age has its own set of headaches. Problems related to the Internet not working properly, connection issues, high pings, slow connections, or complete drop in pings for no reason whatsoever. All these problems leaves the users confused and in trying to get them fixed asap, they spend a lot of time and money.

Here’s a freeware portable application for Windows, called “Complete Internet Repair,” which will save you from having to go through lengthy troubleshooting sessions. It will instead try to fix the Internet or networking issues in Windows with the click of a button. The best thing is that it will also repair Internet Explorer 9 along with others.

The free portable application will help you reset, restore, clear or repair a variety of Internet related settings on your Windows computer system.

If your install of Windows 7 won’t boot or has started giving you problems and you are thinking of reinstalling. Think again, you may only need to use the System Repair Disc to fix the problems. This will definitely save you a lot of trouble and may also save your data and user settings. Windows System Repair Disc is designed to rescue your system and lets you boot Windows when everything else fails. It provides several options for repairing the failing system and revive it.

For this to work, you either need the original Windows installation DVD or better if you have already created the system repair disc (see our article on creating a system repair disk in Windows 7). If you can’t create a repair disk, you can download one (see our article on downloading a system repair disk for Windows 7 or Vista).

You have just brought a brand new PC or laptop or netbook that came pre-installed with Windows 7 from one of the major manufacturers, viz. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Toshiba, etc. But the problem that you face when buying from them is you won’t receive any Windows 7 installation media with your purchase. Instead, you will receive either a “recovery disc” (if you’re that much lucky) with your purchase or you’ll have a “recovery partition” built-in your machine.

You may ask what is the problem here, as you can easily recover your Windows 7 or Vista, using the “recovery disk” or “recovery partition.” Well, the problem is, when you use the recovery disks/recovery partition to recover Windows 7 or Vista, it will delete all your files and restore your computer to the state it was in when you first purchased it.

Microsoft came up with FixIt solutions, which will generally fix Windows problems, especially that of Windows 7 and Vista. But, some of these FixIt solutions need some interaction from the user, which might confuse some users, especially who are new.

The Windows Club has come up with FixWin, a nice little portable application which provides much of the same functionality as FixIt Solutions but without the confusion.

FixWin is very small in download just 173KB, but packs loads of helpful registry fixes, in total, FixWin has around 50 fixes for both Windows 7 and Vista. FixWin will fix 50 common Windows annoyances, issues & problems which are categorized under 5 tabs, viz. Windows Explorer, Internet & Connectivity, Windows Media, System Tools & Misc Additional Fixes.
