Mozilla has recently updated Firefox 3.5 to version 3.5.7. Firefox 3.5.7 and Firefox 3.0.17 are designed as security and stability updates for the open source browser. Usually, Mozilla makes a point of offering security and stability refreshes for Firefox 3.5 and Firefox 3.0 in tandem, and the latest updates are no exception to this rule.
At the time of writing, the official announcement is still to be made about the updates, but Firefox updates are now officially available for download and you can also download from the various download channels like Softpedia. You can download the latest version from them too or wait for the official announcement.
You can use the built-in automatic update, “Help > Check for Updates” option to update your browser or Firefox will automatically tell you about the update.
You can download it using following direct download links (If the download links don’t work now you can download from Softpedia. The official download links should be live soon now) :
Download Mozilla Firefox 3.5.7 (Windows)
Download Mozilla Firefox 3.5.7 (Mac OSX)
Update: The 404 error page is gone now. :)
Since, it is yet to be officially announce, after installing the update I got a 404 page instead of the first run page. You can see in the screenshot below:
I guess they are yet to get ready the “First-Run” page before making the official announcement about the release.
