Quick Tip: Get Back the Quick Launch Bar in Windows 7

The new Windows 7 Taskbar is very good and productive. But, for many Windows XP users who used to use Quick Launch bar to launch their favourite programs would miss it and its convenience after upgrading to Windows 7. Well, for those users who wants to get back Quick Launch bar in Windows 7, here’s a quick tip.

  • Right click on an empty space on the Taskbar
  • Now, from Toolbars in the context menu, click on New Toolbar.

  • In the New Toolbar dialog box that opens, enter
    %userprofile%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick Launch
    in the Folder text-box (see image below) and click on Select Folder.

  • A Quick Launch bar link will appear, which you can resize or change position of it according to your needs.

You can add all your favorite programs to it as you did in Windows XP. :-)
