Microsoft has released the first major update for Windows 10, Threshold 2. The latest update brings a lot of performance improvement and feature improvements. Notably, both Microsoft Edge and Cortana got overhauled majorly in Windows 10 Threshold 2. What’s New in Windows 10 Threshold 2?
Windows 10 Threshold 2 does not come packed with too many surprises. Most of them are already known thanks to the Windows Insider Program. But two features, Cortana and Microsoft Edge browser received some significant changes.
Cortana, the personal assistant has been improved and given new powers. It can now recognize phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses that you write in the notebook with a pen. It can now keep track of events and movie bookings for you. You can now use Cortana to set reminders, and more. Microsoft has also made Cortana officially available in Japan, Australia, Canada, and India in English.
Microsoft Edge browser received some much needed features and security improvements. Edge now finally shows you tab previews. You now have option to sync your favorites and reading lists across all supported devices. Cortana is now deeply integrated in Edge browser.
In addition to the overall performance improvements across the operating system, you will notice changes in some apps. New context menus are added, you will notice a fourth column for Start menu live tiles. Users who love customizing will like the new Personalization options.
And yes, like we said earlier, Windows 10 Threshold 2 will now be the new default for users who will upgrade from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

To download the ISO, you first need to visit this special page titled Windows 10 Tech Bench Upgrade Program.
On that page, select the edition of Windows 10 you want to download. Windows 10, Windows 10 KN, Windows 10 N and Windows 10 Single Language are available as options. Whichever edition you download it is valid for both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional. After you click on the Confirm button, it asks you to select the language. Select the language in which you want to download Windows 10 and click on Confirm.
The page will generate download links for Windows 10 Threshold 2 (32-bit) and Windows 10 Threshold 2 (64-bit). Click on the download link to start your download.
