Opaloflux Clock and Calendar Application: Alternative To Windows System Clock
Opaloflux Clock and Calendar Application is very a stylish freeware application, and a very good alternative to the default Windows system clock. This powerful app includes all the same functionalities as the default system clock but does comes with many more features such as notes, a fully functional appointment calendar, and an alarm clock. You can customize the look with over 20 clock skins and a skin mode feature.
After installing the app and launching it, on the main user interface, you will be easily able to switch from analogue to digital clocks with just a click of the mouse, you can also add notes that will be saved when the app is closed, and shows you the current date and time.
In the skin mode, you can easily change the background skin, drag and drop the form anywhere, access all the features as well as change the transparency of the user interface. Using settings, you can easily change the text color of the text written in the notes section, change the clock skins (24 different skins available), hide the Windows system clock, update the application and access the help section.
A full functioning appointment calendar is also available with this app. You can customize this appointment calendar by changing the skin, add or delete appointments and zoom in or out on different times and dates.
You can add new clock skins by simply downloading new clock skins from here. After downloading extract the clock flash file into Opaloflux Clock and Calendar Application installation directory. Rename any
clock##.swf file to
oldclock##.swf for backing up the file. Rename the extracted
newclock.swf file to that
clock##.swf. You will then find the new clock skin in the settings.
For example, suppose you have downloaded
free-flash-clock-175.zip. Extract the file
free-flash-clock-175.swf present inside the zip archive to the installation directory of Opaloflux Clock and Calendar Application (by default in
C:\Program Files\Opaloflux Clock & Calendar). Rename any of the
clock1.swf (you can rename any of the
clock24.swf of your choice) file present in the directory to
oldclock1.swf. Now, rename f
clock1.swf. Go to the settings of Clock and Calendar app and from the drop-down list of clock skins available, you will see the new clock skin in place of the old clock.
