If you are an avid fan of the most popular Linux distro, you must be waiting to get your hands on all the new wallpapers that are going to come with Vivid Vervet. Well, the wait is finally over. You can now download the official Ubuntu 15.04 wallpapers now.

Tom Kijas (Tommy_CZ) posted a zip archive on Launchpad, allegedly the new wallpapers of the forthcoming Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet. Tom Kijas posted a (humor) message along with the “bug” post, “this is the bug we’ll attach the wallpapers to for the 15.04 release”. You can visit this page to download the wallpapers in a neatly packaged zip archive. Later, Launchpad Janitor (janitor) changed the “bug” status to “Confirmed” along with an equally humorous message “because the bug affects multiple users”. The default wallpaper will be announced soon.

Most of the time a community wallpaper contest is hold. Users uploads wallpapers and the best wallpapers are chosen to be included in the new Ubuntu release. For Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu community wallpaper contest took place on Flickr. The contest was open for two weeks, since February 15, 2015.
