An StickyAccount (created during setup) is required to get access to My StickyPortal and to have all data backed up in the cloud. My StickyPortal lets you access a list of trusted devices, change settings for how new devices can get access to your data: any new devices are approved silently, or use OTP-based (one-time PIN) security, or restricting any new device from accessing data. You also have option to restore data if online sync fails multiple time. For extra security and to protect you from keyloggers, Sticky Password provides a virtual keyboard too.
Sticky Password helps you manage all your passwords. You don’t need to remember any of those passwords except your master password which is required to get access to Sticky Password database. It’s very important that you never forget your master password. Without the master password all the data is unusable.
It doesn’t matter which edition of Sticky Password (Cloud/Desktop) you have, it runs as a standalone application under Windows. This standalone Windows Desktop app lets you do all the tasks of saving, accessing, importing of passwords.
You don’t need to open the app every time as it integrates seamlessly into multiple web browsers. It auto-detects installed web browsers during setup and lets you exclude supported browsers you don’t want to use Sticky Password with. It also imports any passwords and log ins stored in your browsers. Unlike other similar apps, the application does not install any toolbar into your browser.
You can use the main window of the application though the Notification area in the lower right corner of the desktop or as a Caption button in a supported browser or application in the top right corner. If you have the cloud sync license, it lets you access passwords, memos, and so on from its Android and iOS apps. Sticky Password also lets you securely save Bookmarks and Secure Memos.
Adding existing accounts is simple with Sticky Password. All you need to do is login to a website as usual by entering username and password, click Sign in (or Login). Sticky Password will capture the username and password and will ask if you want to save the login credentials or not. You also have the option to edit the data while it gets added. When you visit the website next time, Sticky Password fills in the username and password for you and automatically logs you in.
Sticky Password also works with many popular applications. All you need to do is start the supported application and click on the Sticky Password button in the application’s caption area and select Add account. Save the username and password and the next time you want to log in, Sticky Password will log you in automatically. If you are using any other password manager, Sticky Password supports importing accounts from those applications.
While creating new password or changing old one, the built-in password generator is of great help. Simply use the password generator to generate a long and complex password. Sticky Password will automatically save the newly generated password to help you log in later.
