Free Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 & Kaspersky AntiVirus 2011 Beta Download

The first public beta of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 (KIS) and Kaspersky Antivirus 2011 (KAV) are now available for testing. You will also get a free 30 days beta license absolutely free to test the software.

Kaspersky with this new beta version has changed the way it delivers the software to the customer. KIS and KAV now comes in a single “all in one” installer, which means both KIS 2011 and KAV 2011 are included in one single installer and after installation, you are given the choice to activate between Kaspersky Antivirus 2011 or Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. Although, we cannot say if the change is permanent as it may be done temporarily for helping the beta testers.

The announcement was made on the Kaspersky forum and on Twitter. A forum account is required to access the beta testing forum. The programs on the other hand can be downloaded without forum registration. The download has both KAV 2011 and KIS 2011.

Some advice from the Kaspersky forum:

Section 1. Downloading, installation and activation of beta-version.

To start testing you should download beta-build from http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/devbuilds/
The folder with beta-version looks like 11.0.0.<build_number>
You should download distributive of the kis11.0.0.*en.exe kind (usually the one with the highest number at the end).

During installation you will have to activate the product with the appropriate activation beta keys.

Once a new beta-version is released you will have to refresh the product. To do that download the last built distributive, exit the antivirus and remove it with the standard way (via Add/Remove programs). Then you may start installing the new build.

Attention – please keep in mind:

1. The product drivers isn’t compatible with AVP Tool

2. The product drivers isn’t signed by MS yet

3. The product drivers work incorrectly inside VirtualBox virtual machine (but VMWare is OK)

4. Please do not install new build “on top of” an older one. Do not move old build’s settings to the new one Uninstall any previous build and reboot before installing a newer beta version.
