Microsoft has beefed up security in Windows Vista and Windows 7. Even though this is good but it sometimes gets on your nerve when you see errors like “Permission Denied” while accessing system file/folder. If you want to get access to them Microsoft wants you first “take ownership of the files/folders“. The manual way is very tiresome and those who have to go through this knows very well.
Thanks to the Rizone Take Ownership Shell Extension developed by Rizone Technologies, you can easily take ownership of any file/folder that you want to by just a single click.
How to use?
- Just download the small installer from their website or Softpedia and launch it.
- You will find an Install button, click on it to install on your machine.

- After installation, you will find a new entry “Take Ownership” in the Windows Explorer right-click context menu.

- If you want to uninstall the shell extension, launch the installer again and you will find the Uninstall button. Click on it to remove.

When compared with Microsoft’s approach to taking ownership, this little genius can be very useful and handy. It is completely safe to use.

This software really eased me of my problem of allowing each time i start a program in vista or 7.
