How To Completely Remove Kaspersky Anti-Virus/Internet Security 2010

Kaspersky Antivirus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 are one of the best security suites available in the market. For some reason if you want to remove Kaspersky Antivirus or Internet Security 2010, then you can do so via Start > Control Panel > AddRemove Programs. But if you are facing some errors while uninstalling/deleting Kaspersky product from your machine, do not worry as Kaspersky provides a small application to completely remove Kaspersky Antivirus 2010 / Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 from your PC. This tool is very simple, small and portable.

Removal utility allows uninstalling the following products:

• Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.07.020092010
• Kaspersky Internet Security 6.07.020092010
• Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations (6.0.2.687-6.0.3.837)
• Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers (6.0.2.687-6.0.3.837)

Note: Under 64-bit OS the removal utility can uninstall Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009/2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009/2010 only.

In order to fully uninstall the product:

• Download the archive kavremover10.zip
• Unpack the file kavremover10.exe from the archive
• Run the file kavremover10.exe
• Enter the CAPTCHA code from the picture to confirm removal
• Click the Remove button
  
• Wait until a confirmation dialog box informs you of successful product removal
• Click OK
  

• Now, Reboot your computer

If by some reasons the remove utility has not found the installed product in the OS and you are sure the product is installed and/or some modules still remain, then to skip product check, run the utility from the command prompt with the following syntax:

kavremover10.exe [kav6 | kav7 | kav2009 | kav2009x64 | kav2010 | kav2010x64 | kis6 | kis7 | kis2009 | kis2009x64 | kis2010 | kis2010x64 | kav6fs | kav6wks]. For example if Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 was installed on your PC in this case the command will look the following way kavremover10.exe kis2010.
