TagScanner Renames MP3/OGG Files, ID3 Tags and More

Do you have lots and lots of MP3/OGG files? As your music library grows it becomes more and more hard to find that particular song which you want to listen now. This is because all your music files are having odd tags like unknown song, unknown artist etc. Most MP3 music players use tags and if your tags aren’t in order, then you aren’t getting the most out of your player. TagScanner searches through your MP3s and automatically tags them, renames your files, downloads album art, and even retrieves lyrics.

TagScanner is a multifunction program for renaming MP3/OGG/MP+ files. It can be used to organize and index large music collections easily. The program can edit tags of several progressive audio formats, rename files based on the tag information, generate tag information from filenames. TagScanner is available both as a portable software and as normal installation file. Also you may get album info via online databases like freedb or Amazon. Supports ID3v1, ID3v2, Vorbis comments, APEv2, Windows Media and MP4(iTunes) tags. It also features a built-in playlist editor and music player.

  1. I wanted to let you know how pleased I was with TagScanner. I am entering the Podcasting world and was having the hardest time getting the mp3 metadata tags to work. A few of the free programs I used SAID that they worked but when I actually played them, the data wasn’t there. TagScanner came through. Thank you. Vic

  2. Just tried this app. What can I tell? iIn a few words, – it rocks. Have a some Q – Was wondering though if you could please make the TAG Processor Preview window respect the selected columns like all the other layouts.
It’s the only one that just shows all the columns and ignores what columns you have enabled or disabled.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that does not use every column of data when using the TAG Processor so why show a ton of empty columns every time.
Or perhaps just do that. If the column is empty then don’t display it, as it’s just useless taking up space.
