CCleaner 3.25 Update Brings Chrome Extension Management Capabilities

CCleaner 3.25, the latest build of Windows freeware cleaning tool has been released by Piriform. Over the years it has evolved, adding new features with each update. It started its journey as a temporary file cleaner for Windows. As new features are getting added with each new update, CCleaner is now more than just a temporary file cleaner. One of the most notable feature added to the latest version is Google Chrome Extension management in addition to other features along with a number of compatibility and cleaning improvements.

Manage Google Chrome Extensions using CCleaner 3.25

Earlier versions of CCleaner already allows you to manage extensions and browser helper objects for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. With the support for managing Google Chrome Extensions, CCleaner users will now be able to disable or deleted unwanted Chrome add-ons from the web browser. The feature is accessible via Tools > Startup > Google Chrome tab. You will get a list of all installed Chrome apps and extensions, which you can manage here easily.

CCleaner Update

To enable, disable or delete any Chrome extensions, simply select that extension and click on the buttons present on the right-side of the window. You can manage multiple extensions by pressing down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and selecting multiple extensions and apps at once. You can also export a list of extensions and apps to a text file.

CCleaner 3.25 furthermore improves compatibility with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. Piriform has improved security when you manage Firefox plugins, supports cleaning Adobe Dreamweaver, Corel PaintShop Pro X5 and Anonymizer, and has improved module loading speeds, GUI navigation improvements, along with improved cleaning for Microsoft Office 2010 and ImgBurn.

To update, you can either click on the application’s name on the top-left corner or click on the “Check for updates” link located in the lower right corner of the CCleaner window.
